My Process

  • My paints and watercolor pad are on my lap. If I don’t have any liquid nearby, I wet my paintbrush in my mouth. I memorize where the colors are on my palette. In order not to distract people sitting around me, I frequently draw under my scarf on my lap. Sometimes after the show, I may paint more and fill in any gaps but usually what I sketch is enough for me to remember everything that happened in the scene.
